During 2007, the US Mint sold 9,887,000 ounces of silver through its bullion coin program. The estimated silver bullion value of the Silver Eagle coins sold by the US Mint for the year was $133,803,310. This figure was calculated using the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales numbers for each month. Although the number of ounces declined slightly, the value showed an increased based on the strong price of silver.
The sales numbers which appear below may include coins minted in multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
