2005 American Silver Eagle Sales

The table shows the United States Mint’s 2005 Silver Eagle bullion coin sales amounts.

During 2005, the US Mint sold 8,405,000 ounces of silver through its bullion coin program. This was a decrease of more than one million ounces from the prior year and marked a temporary low before sales would move to new heights. The estimated silver bullion value of the Silver Eagle coins sold by the US Mint for the year was $63,296,100. This figure was calculated using the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales numbers for each month.

The sales numbers which appear below may include coins minted in multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
