The table shows the US Mint’s 2004 Silver Eagle bullion coin sales numbers.
During 2004, the United States Mint sold 9,617,000 ounces of silver through its bullion program. This was an increase from the prior year which also took place during an increase in the price of silver. The silver bullion value of the Silver Eagle coins sold by the US Mint for the year was approximately $64,016,840. This amount was calculated using the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales numbers for each month. This was a new high for the value of silver bullion coins sold by the US Mint.
The sales numbers which appear below may include coins minted in multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
