2001 American Silver Eagle Sales

The table shows the US Mint’s 2001 Silver Eagle bullion coin sales numbers.

In 2001 the United States Mint sold 8,827,500 ounces of silver through its bullion program. Although the number declined from the prior year, it still remained at a historically high level. The silver bullion value of the Silver Eagle coins sold by the US Mint for the year was approximately $38,571,165. This amount was calculated using the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales numbers for each month.

The sales numbers which appear below may include coins minted in multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
