2000 American Silver Eagle Sales

The table shows the US Mint’s 2000 Silver Eagle bullion coin sales figures.

During 2000, the United States Mint sold 9,133,000 ounces of silver through its bullion program. This was actually higher than the prior year sales, which had been attributed to pre-Y2K buying. The approximate silver bullion value of the Silver Eagle coins sold by the US Mint during 1998 was $45,100,650. This amount is calculated based on the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales for each month.

The sales figures below represent monthly sales, which may include coins minted in multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
