1999 American Silver Eagle Sales

The table shows the US Mint’s 1999 Silver Eagle bullion coin sales figures.

During 1999, the United States Mint sold 9,008,500 ounces of silver through its bullion program. This amount represents more than double the prior year, as pre-Y2K demand drove sales. The approximate silver bullion value of the Silver Eagle coins sold by the US Mint during 1998 was $46,3613,300. This amount is calculated based on the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales for each month.

The sales figures below represent monthly sales, which may include coins minted in multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
