1988 American Silver Eagle Sales

The table below displays the US Mint’s 1988 Silver Eagle bullion sales figures.

During 1988, the US Mint sold 5,869,000 ounces of silver. This represented a sharp decline from the prior year, when pent up demand was a major source of demand. The silver value for coins sold during 1988 was approximately $37,942,970 calculated based on the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales for each month.
