In 1994, the United States Mint sold 5,540,500 ounces of silver. This was a decline from the prior year and back to the level or two years ago. The silver value for the Silver Eagle coins sold during 1992 was approximately $28,096,590 calculated based on the average monthly price of silver and the bullion coins sales for each month. This was an increase attributable to the high market price of silver.
The sales figures represent monthly sales, which may include coins minted across multiple years. The US Mint also produced and sold proof coins for collectors. Only bullion coin sales are included below.
